Year in Review

Finally! 2005 has come to a close... well... almost.
So basically, another year full of not so out of the ordinary events can now be officially refered to as the past (though it can already be called that way the day after the event happened... or something like that).

So for what may be my last post for the year, I'd rather do a review of things that happened. Entitled as.... "2005... what the hell was I doing?!!"

I met a lot of new friends this year... the most since like.. the first 20 years of my life? Hahaha... Though I will not wander off to name dropping since all of you guys are so many that it might take a long time enumerating all of you that I might fall asleep (no.. seriously.. Hehehehe... well,, that's just figuratively speaking). Anyway, this surprised me since I'm more of an introvert since childhood?? So meeting lots of people never came in to mind... I don't know.. maybe I'm a rare in-ex-trovert??!! who knows?

My cd buying habbit sort of mellowed a bit... imagine me three years ago buying an average of 3 cd's per week which is now cut down to 3 cd's per month at the most!! (Oh.. and those are original cd's mind you!) Though I admit I still buy pirated ones... hey cut me some slack, those albums were not locally available. But hey, when it comes to local artists, I try my best to buy the original ones everytime... so now my cd count is up to 500+ and still more cd's are on my list...

While on the subject of cutting down on expenses concerning cd purchasing. This was due to the fact that I invested my money this year on musical equipment... Hey! I got a new bass!! woohoo!!! and I'm planning on getting a drum machine before the year ends which is just about 4 days from now??

By the way.. speaking of music... well... nothing much has happened this year (band wise) since marvin was unavailable since this july?? and me having to do my thesis which is a lot of work... and i mean A LOT!!!! Talk about a major headache!!! But even though I've been that busy this past 3 months, I've still managed to write a few songs for a project band of Jay and I (Jay!! pagkatapos ng defense tugtugan na!!!) (Vino!! hindi ko matapos ung guitar solo na ginagawa ko... wala akong idea kung pano tapusin.. sobrang pinagaganda pa kasi.. hahahaha).

The price of gas rose up to quite an alarming amount... though I didn't feel it that much since our number of days in school was just 4 now.. comapred to 5 or 6 during the first semester... and since I have more free days in a week, I found time once again to just hang out at a mall or someplace else (after 3 years or so.. I finally got to do this again.. going out with no apparent reason at all). And with this I found my new hang out.... Blue Wave Marquinton!! hehehe.. The movie theatre there is great... it's like watching at Market! Market! but only cheaper! And one time when I watched The Exorcism of Emily Rose on it's final screening day I had the theatre all to myself!!!! Imagine your own personal movie house!!! Hahahahahaha! And I also found a new "tambayan kung gusto ko lang maupo at makinig sa ipod"....the starbucks there!! hehehe... Now I've got an a new place to hang out until everybody there knows me (I achieved this same goal at comic alley, tower glorietta, and at the card shop beside our high school).. I mean like when I'm just going to pass by, everyone there is going to give a shout out to me.. hehehehe.. wala lang.. it feels good to know that everybody sees you!

And finally, this year I got to attend the PASKUHAN at UST.. it was mid-satisfactory since some bands that played there didn't quite live up to my expectations. Though some bands did catch my attention (tough I forgot their names!! Hahahaha). So now I have a goal for 2006... play at PASKUHAN and kick some ass!!!

Here's the pic of the christmas tree there
