And now... for my TV viewing pleasure...
Last thursday night, I finally remembered to watch BATTLE FOR OZZFEST 2004... (finally... after forgetting to watch 3 or 4 episodes... even the replays... =P)
For those of you who don't know what this show is, then let me explain what it is about. Basically it's a show by Sharon & Ozzy Osbourne where they had an audition for one more band slot in next year's ozzfest (technically... it's this year's ozzfest...). But instead of a regular audition where auditioning bands play their stuff, this show had some kind of twist, where a representative of a band will battle it out against other representatives from other bands on challenges given by Sharon & Ozzy.
Well, last thursday, they had this challenge where they were given one full day for each of them to practice with one participating 2nd stage band. Everyone was stoked when they heard about this, all except the only girld among the group. Why the hell would anyone be discouraged upon hearing this news?!! Isn't it anyone's dream to play with his/her own favorite band?!! ...well, yeah she was excited. The thing is that she had been only playing bass for some 6 weeks?!!! To top that off, she got paired off with a very premiere band!! (...considering the situation at hand... if she somehow "fails" in her performance, she could be booed off stage... or even worse, get cut-off from the show). So during practice with each one's bands, some of the guy's were laughing due to the fact that everyone's band was already practicing excep the girl's (unfortunate?) band. In fact she was having a one on one lesson with the band's bassist almost all day. So here comes the big day. Everyone did their best, and one of them caught my attention. Adeer(?) played guitars for darkest hour and hell!! he did an awsome job there!!! It seemed as though it wasn't just his first time to play with that band... hell... he even seemed like a regular band member!!! Now that's worth praising!!! And by the way... in the latter part of the show, Sharon & Ozzy gave their comments on each one's performance... and one cracked me up as sharon commented one of them (the clown guy.. i forgot his name.... ehehehe, i can only remember the name of adeer... 'coz he's a F*cking genius!!), as she told him "you're performance was somekind of lame.... look at that (while pointing at the monitor).. it looks somewhat of like a GENERIC HEADBANG...". ehehehehe... That's something new.... "GENERIC HEADBANG"!!! hahahahahaha =P
Also, this afternoon, i got to watch a special episode of rock myx where KAMIKAZEE was the guest. Jay was cracking everybody up with his antics the whole interview with scenes like:
Iya: (taps Jay on his shoulder and hands)
Jay: Wag mo naman ako masyadong hawakan... baka ma-inlove ako sayo nyan..
also, lines like....
Iya: Jay, you have very long hair now, do you plan on still letting it grow longger?
Jay: Oo, syempre... Kulot ako naturally pero gusto ko talagang magpahaba pa ng buhok. Hindi mo ba alam? Nag-me-mane and tail ako?!!
Iya: What are your duties for the band?
Jay: Taga-gupit ng buhok.
Jomal: Tagaputol ng kuko... hahahaha
Puto: Bass
Iya, Jay, Jomal: Grabe!!! ang haba ng sinabi mo ah (puto)!!
Iya: You want to introduce the next video...
Jomal: uhhhh...... sure...
then after performing one of their new songs, iya asked them what was it about..
Iya: What was the last song about..
Jay: Basically, ung song (seksi, seksi) ay tungkol sayo! maniwala ka man o hindi!!
Jomal: Tama
Jay: Kasi nakikita ka namin sa TV tapos sabi namin sa sarili namin... "ang seksi talaga ni iya...ang ganda ganda!!"
Jomal: So dun namin nakuha yung idea para dun sa kanta...
Jay: Kaso hindi na yun ang tingin ko sayo ngayon... Hindi na ako nagagandahan kasi anghahaba ng kuko ko sa paa eh...
and also.. after performing "ung tagalog"
Iya: What was the last song about?
Jay: Ano ba yung tinugtog natin??
Jomal: Ung tagalog
Jay: Ahhh oo nga..
Iya: What was it about?
Jomal: Ung tagalog? ...basically it's a tagalog song....
Jay: Hahahahaha... Tungkol yun sa naging maid ng isa samin, uhh.. sobrang ganda nun tsaka seksi... Kaso ayun.. pinagpalit si Led para sa kuya nyang driver..
Jomal: Tsk...tsk...
Iya: oh? bakit hindi ka nagsasalita dyan...
Puto: (medyo nahihiya hiya)
Iya: Wag ka mag-alala.. hindi naman ako kumakain ng tao eh...
Hahahahaha.... Jay never fails to crack everyone up!!!!
